About
Scholarships and Grants
The John Martinson Honors College (JMHC) is committed to internationalizing the honors experience of our students. International education and intercultural development are the soil in which we nurture world-ready students—a critical outcome of the JMHC experience. In addition to the inherent benefits of internationalization, our suite of global enrichment grants support students’ completion of the honors curriculum by providing resources for activities that award honors credits, are high impact, and/or enhance students' sense of belonging. JMHC students in good standing can apply for any of our three grants: Intercultural Fellows Grant, Study Away Grant, and International Internship Grant. Our International/Intercultural Research Grants are available to faculty and staff in the John Martinson Honors College.
Students can only receive for the Study Away Grant or Internship Grant once. Recipients of these grants are still eligible for the Intercultural Fellows Grant and the International/Intercultural Research Grant.
Scholarships, Awards, and Prizes must be considered educational resources for the student per federal regulations. Therefore, any funds awarded to the student are reported to the Purdue University Division of Financial Aid (DFA) and considered a part of a student's total aid package. Please note students may not receive gift aid exceeding the total cost of attendance.

Global Enrichment Grants
At the John Martinson Honors College, we value intercultural development and intercultural contact. We acknowledge that not all students can study away—owing to financial costs, jobs, internships, and other responsibilities or obstacles. Thus, we seek to make opportunities for intercultural development and intercultural contact accessible to all our students. We do this in a few ways vis-à-vis courses offered on campus, visiting international scholars, and extra-curricular activities.
